WASTE AND ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
In the oil & gas and manufacturing industry, it is inevitable not to produce waste in the production of finished goods, however it is mandatory to have in place a means to dispose the waste in an environmental friendly manner or better still harness the waste into other forms of end products or energy.
Waste management is an increasing headache for many companies. With the need to reduce their environmental impact, but faced with increasing and ever-changing legislation, costs and stress can spiral out of control. More and more companies are placing their waste management solutions into the hands of specialists.
At GOSA, we pride ourselves delivering cutting edge technical know-how on how best waste can be managed in the oil and gas industry, food processing (including animal) and manufacturing industry. With our innovative and technical prowess, we employ industrial cleaning solutions & safe disposal to oil and gas equipment ( tanks, separators, pipeline, etc) thereby extending the life of their assets, reducing downtime and ensuring safety comes first whilst navigating a challenging environment. We provide solutions with transparent reporting to demonstrate the real value, in both financial and carbon terms.

Completing a cost and sustainability analysis for each technique
-
Assessing the environmental impact from the potential techniques.
Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is an integral part of planning and development. It is a process by which the anticipated effects on the environment of a proposed development are measured to inform the decision making process. The EIA process can often be seen as complex and confusing, particularly for key stakeholders. However, if managed well it offers an opportunity to de-risk development and enhance reputation.
Our approach is to focus the EIA process upon the key issues and take a proportionate approach to the assessment to minimise project risk and maximise opportunities for success.
Working as an integrated part of our customer’s team we:
-
Create a project strategy which identifies the range of issues critical to project risk, value and ultimately success.
-
Define a suitable project scope, proportionate to the nature and scale of the development, by initiating an early and effective consultation process.
-
Design-in solutions, embedding sustainable mitigation measures in the design, to add value and reduce the likelihood of issues later on, saving you time, money and wasted effort.
-
Prepare a robust Environmental Statement or appraisal that addresses regulatory requirements and guidance.
The GOSA EIA team brings an enviable skill set encompassing strategy, planning, technical and environmental expertise, and is made up of professional Chartered Environmentalists, environmental scientists, ecologists, project managers, etc thereby making us the natural choice to meet all of your EIA needs.
Animal Slaughter house Waste Management
Animal slaughter house waste management is perennial problem in West Africa. Most Slaughter houses are situated close to water body where solid waste consists mainly of bones, undigested ingest, aborted fetuses, blood, urine, water, dissolved solids and gut contents are disposed directly into the water body there causing health issues upstream and downstream of the water body.
GOSA, in conjunction with the local authorities in Nigeria are providing education, equipment and services on the correct way to manage the effluent of animal waste. GOSA has also ventured into slaughterhouse management via its subsidiary “ Meaty” to provide hygienic environment for animal meat processing.
